Bloom on the Block

We hadn't been to Bloom Cafe (no relation) in a long time. It's very close to our house, so we decided to catch some dinner there the other night. Since Bloom is nearby, we over-did it when it first opened and got tired of the place. Also, it had gotten rather pricey. After perusing the new and improved menu online we decided to try it again. They have a new "bowls" section on the menu. This is really the same as a plate of food, only in a large bowl. The prices are improved too. Everything was really delicious.
Our server brought us some fresh French bread, drizzled in olive oil served with olive tapenade. Yum. Larry ordered the Miso salmon on quinoa with vegetables and sliced mango. I had the less healthy little lamb chops on spicy white beans with chopped vegetables. Both of our meals were very tasty and beautifully served. We'll definitely return....until we overdo it again!Bloom Cafe 5544 Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90019,(323) 934-6900
